What is prohibited

DotwebApps customers must use each product within the rights and limits of the license they purchased. Activities that go beyond those rights are not permitted.
Examples of prohibited use #
Prohibited activity may include:
- using more active production installations than the purchased license permits
- reselling software under a license tier that does not include reseller rights
- transferring reseller-rights entitlement to a downstream customer when the reseller rights are non-transferable
- presenting a Single Site or Multi-Site Commercial license as if it were a reseller license
- claiming ownership or authorship of underlying DotwebApps intellectual property where those rights have not been transferred
- publicly sharing or distributing license keys or other license credentials
- using local, staging, or test environments to evade production activation limits
- redistributing source code outside the scope of the purchased license
- bypassing or deliberately defeating licensing or activation controls
Production activation limits must be respected #
The standard production activation limits are finite:
- Single Site Personal / Business: 1 production activation
- Multi-Site Commercial: 5 production activations
- Non-Transferable Resell Rights + White-Label: 25 production activations
A higher license tier provides a larger permitted allocation, not unlimited production installations.
Reseller rights must not be transferred downstream #
The standard Resell Rights + White-Label license permits resale according to the applicable license, but the reseller-rights entitlement itself is non-transferable.
A reseller’s customer does not automatically receive another reseller license or the right to pass reseller rights further downstream.
White-labeling does not transfer ownership #
Permitted branding or white-label changes do not transfer ownership of the underlying DotwebApps intellectual property. Customers should not represent themselves as the owner or author of underlying DotwebApps intellectual property unless such rights are explicitly provided by the applicable product license.
Product-specific terms still apply #
The exact permissions and restrictions of the purchased product and license always control. This article describes standard licensing boundaries and does not create additional rights beyond the applicable license.
