Client deployment

Client deployment means installing or deploying a licensed DotwebApps software product for a client under the permissions of the license you purchased. It is not the same thing as holding reseller rights.

Which license tiers can support client deployment #

The standard license tiers have different purposes:

• Single Site Personal / Business is intended for one permitted production installation for the purchaser’s own personal or business use. It should not be treated as a multi-client deployment license.
• Multi-Site Commercial may be used for the purchaser’s own projects and for eligible client deployments where the applicable product license permits that use.
• Non-Transferable Resell Rights + White-Label may permit broader commercial deployment and resale according to the applicable product and license terms.

Exact deployment rights can vary by product, so the applicable purchased license always controls.

Activation limits still apply to client installations #

Every active production installation must remain within the finite activation limit of the purchased license tier:

• Single Site Personal / Business: 1 production activation
• Multi-Site Commercial: 5 production activations
• Non-Transferable Resell Rights + White-Label: 25 production activations

Client deployment does not create unlimited production installations.

Client deployment and reseller rights are different #

Client deployment means deploying the licensed software for a client where the purchased license permits it.

Reseller rights mean permission to resell the resulting software according to an applicable reseller license.

A Multi-Site Commercial license may permit eligible client deployments, but it does not include reseller rights and does not permit standalone resale of the software itself.

A client does not automatically receive reseller rights #

Deploying software for a client does not automatically transfer the original purchaser’s license or reseller entitlement to that client.

Under the standard Non-Transferable Resell Rights + White-Label license, reseller rights remain with the original licensed purchaser. A downstream client or buyer does not automatically receive the right to become another reseller.

Check the applicable product license before deployment #

Product-specific restrictions still apply. Before deploying software for a client, confirm that the purchased license permits the intended deployment and that the resulting production installation remains within the applicable activation limit.

Do not assume that client deployment creates ownership transfer, unlimited client deployments, automatic license transfer, or sublicensing rights that are not explicitly provided by the purchased license.
